What is Python Programming?

Python is one of the most powerful and widely used programming languages in the world. It powers artificial intelligence, data science, automation, web development, cybersecurity, and scientific computing, and is consistently ranked the number one language for both beginners and working professionals.

Learning Python gives your child a genuine, career-relevant skill that opens doors across computer science, engineering, robotics, and technology. Unlike many school subjects, Python is hands-on, creative, and immediately practical. Students see results from their very first class.

At Edifychamps, our Python course is built around doing, not just listening. Students write code, build real projects, and solve real problems from day one, guided by a live expert instructor throughout.

What Will Your Child Learn?

This course covers every stage of Python from writing the very first line of code to building complete, deployable applications.

  • Python syntax, variables, data types, and operators
  • Conditional statements, loops, and boolean logic
  • Functions, parameters, return values, and code reusability
  • Lists, tuples, dictionaries, and sets are Python’s core data structures
  • File handling, reading, writing, and working with CSV files
  • Error handling and debugging techniques
  • Object-Oriented Programming classes, objects, inheritance, and encapsulation
  • Searching and sorting algorithms with computational thinking
  • Working with external Python libraries and modules
  • Building automation tools, interactive programs, and data-driven projects
  • Real-world project development and coding portfolio creation
  • Best practices used by professional developers

By the end of the course, every student will have a portfolio of Python projects they built themselves, a strong advantage for college applications, coding competitions, and future STEM studies.

Who is This Course For?

  • Students in Grades 6 -12 who are curious about coding and want to start with the best beginner-friendly language
  • Students who have tried YouTube tutorials but want structured, expert-guided instruction
  • Students are already learning coding and want to go deeper into Python, OOP, and algorithms
  • Parents who want their child to build a future-ready STEM skill alongside school academics
  • Students preparing for computer science electives, university applications, or coding internships

No prior coding experience is needed. If your child can use a computer, they are ready to begin.

How Assessment Works

Students are assessed continuously, not just at the end, so progress is always visible, and skills build steadily at every stage.

Ongoing: Weekly coding assignments, module quizzes, coding challenges, and practical programming exercises keep skills sharp throughout the course.

Project-Based: Mini projects, application development tasks, and portfolio projects ensure students apply what they learn to real, meaningful work.

Final: A Capstone Project where each student designs and builds a complete Python application from scratch, demonstrating everything they have learned and creating a portfolio piece they own.
